Reducing the risk of injury from the remnants of conflict. Three capitals in three days – Risk Decisions’ staff past and present raise £5,000 for the Mines Advisory Group
Risk Decisions staff past and present came together this summer to take part in an epic cycle ride to raise money for MAG, the Mines Advisory Group. 'Team RDL', together with a group of 30, cycled from London to Amsterdam and then on to Brussels, covering 300 miles in the course of three days (from 6th to 9th June), and travelling for up to twelve hours a day!
After an inauspicious start (with rain, hills, and one team member falling off his bike within the first mile!) the trip went well. Special mention goes to Susheel, who won the MAG yellow jersey, awarded for the superb team spirit in supporting the cyclists who were struggling to keep up. After the event the team described themselves as 'not as sore as expected', and 'really looking forward to getting some sleep'.
Taking part were Susheel Chumber (Professional Services Manager), Nigel Vereker (Product Manager) and Ross Spencer (much-missed Helpdesk Assistant). Between them they raised £5,000 for MAG, a humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict for the benefit of communities worldwide. See www.maginternational.org.
