Indo Pacific: My return to live events | Indo Pacific 2022

Along with the rest of the world, I am celebrating what has been a slow but welcome return to in person events this year.

Having joined Risk Decisions back in February 2020, I’ve missed out on the opportunity to connect with clients and colleagues in person, until now. My role as Business Development Accounts Manager in the APAC region sees me speaking to our customers daily and so far I have relied on doing so virtually, leaving me eager to re-join the real world.

This month I was able to do exactly that with the restoration of many live events. This includes the Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition. Risk Decisions have had the pleasure of being invited along to Indo Pacific in the past and were thrilled to re-join the crowds at the event this year after a 2-year break.

Taking place over 3 days, I went into the event intending to take full advantage of the time I had to meet with colleagues, partners, customers and industry experts face to face. With over 25,000 attendees, this year’s conference had the largest turnout in the event’s 20-year history, it seems everyone is as keen to get back out into the real world as I am. My colleague Fernando and I double teamed running the stand and there was barely a moment’s rest as we were inundated with visitors, everyone keen to chat more about what we do at Risk Decisions, our Predict! software, and how we can support their project outcomes.

Having now had a taste for in person events, I cannot wait to fill my events calendar for the year ahead. I will be attending PGCS Canberra in August, Land Forces in Brisbane in October and Project Controls Expo Melbourne in November. I look forward to meeting as many people as possible in person.
